Hey! I am on day 2 of the Fix and The food part is going great but the workout are where I’m falling short. Even with the low intensity modifications I still get really winded because I have asthma and am just out of shape in general. Its like every 10 minutes I have to sit down and breathe or take my inhaler and it seems counterproductive. Would it be possible for me to just walk for a little while instead of the dvds until I can lose some weight and get my asthma under control again? I never had issues working out with my asthma until after I had my kids and gained weight so I know the weight is what’s holding me back. Would it compromise the program if I just walked for 45 minutes to an hour everyday? I plan to do multiple round of the program and make it my lifestyle and eventually I’ll be able to do the regular workouts with no problem but for now I just can’t. I did get the ok from my doctor to do the program but she advised me to see if there was a less intense option available such as walking or swimming if the workouts were too much. I never thought at 21 years old I would have such little energy to do a simple arm workout, hopefully this program is my key to getting back in shape!
Tobacco Hi, I’am a 48 year old women who has a history of heart problems. I have had 4 open heart surgeries for the most part I’am pretty healthy and pretty much on track with healthy eating, exercising, and drinking water throughout the day everyday (gallon+.) I’am looking to get rid of belly fat, and toning up, and not really looking to lose alot of weight (although I know I’ll lose some) do you think this program would work for me. And have you had anyone else with this condition or similar do this workout? Also searching for a new workout system. (They get boring after awhile.)
The Fitness Industry Before you ask what gives, you have to know that for me – and even what they preach in 80 Day Obsession – the non-scale victories are what matter the most. Those are things like being stronger in a certain move than the first time you did it, going up in weight, ability to carry my kids further or for a longer period of time, sliding into a new pair of pants. So while the photo above may seem dumb, the reality is that for me it represents going down two pant sizes (and even these pants being a little too big in the waist). I could just as easily have shown you a photo of me in a few pairs of my workout shorts that are now too big and practically fall off when I’m needing to run or jump.

I am a very picky eater so I basically ate what I wanted. I ate fried foods, rice, potatoes and bread. Mine consist of 2 fruits, 3 veggies, 4 proteins, 2 carbs, 1 fats and cheese, 1 seeds and dressings a day. So you can still lose by eating what you want as long it is in the portions and no more.

I don't use a scale. I go entirely by how I feel and how my clothes fit. I haven't used a scale in years and weight has not fluctated a noticable amount. I'm on day 16 and I feel stronger - I feel ...more capable day to day. I also feel "harder" - the muscles are waking up. I focused on running last year and felt like I lost flexibility and upper body strength. At my age and time constraints, I would rather have the muscle. On cardio day I add another half hour of cardio and on rest day I go for a run in order to get outside and to run, which I do enjoy. Hi Paul, Just be sure to listen to how she explains the moves when she first introduces them and watch her demonstration, because there are a lot of background people in the workout videos who are not in sync. You could become a little confused about whom to watch with many of them performing the moves in slightly different ways based on their fitness level and ability.
