There is not a single day of rest. Sundays are booked for the Yoga fix routine of the program, but despite being relaxing and easy it is still not a complete rest. Thursdays are for the Pilates routine though, and this is yet another form of mini rest.

I chose insanity because P90X has 90 minute workouts & requires a chin up bar. I am 45 yrs old and modify some of the excercises so I don’t injure my knees. Years ago I taught aerobics & did power lifting 6 days a week (you would never know this because I am petite)and even did wide grip pull ups. Now due to scoliosis I should stay away from heavy weights. I am surprised INSANITY has NOT hurt my back! It’s helping me a lot. It’s given me the strength to pull weeds for an hour which would normally kill my back. I agree that if you don’t use common sense you will easily injure yourself! I am shocked how strong I am since I am only on week 3 but am giving it my all. I purchased it for $94 on Ebay. I agree with Nadine that if you don’t know what you are doing or are really out of shape you will hurt yourself!!

I like the moves in this workout, and I like that Autumn is more laid back. Sorry… not the biggest fan of Chalene. I’d say these workouts are pretty comparable to the intensity of the original Beachbody 90 workout but I really like that most of the workouts end with a series of ab work. I found the 21 day fix after doing the Ultimate Reset and it was a great way to continue the healthy eating and integrating it into our regular lifestyle. I haven’t really lost any weight but I appreciate the portion control as a way of staying on track and my husband and I really really really like the workouts!!! (although the yoga one is pretty lame)

I’m a recent graduate of a home workout program called 80 Day Obsession. It releases to the public JAN 15th, 2018 – and I’ve been doing it since AUG 2017. I did one complete round – to the “TEE” – absolutely no cheats, no derailments. I breastfed the entire time. I added 500 calories to my meal plan as the test group nutritionist recommended. And I fell in love. I started out the plan eating in PLAN C – and you will see with the start of Phase 2 – I bumped up to PLAN D. When I started the program, I was a little past 6 months post partum. When I graduated the program – I was 9 months post partum.
Today’s Booty workout is 50 minutes of Beachbody Resistance Loops work, standing and on the floor. The loops are incredible for really engaging the glutes and lifting and sculpting that bum like nothing else. If the workout is getting easier, then choose a heavier resistance or even double up your loops.

For the most part my time at Beachbody was very enjoyable a long with being a very fast paced work environment. I was able to build on skills that I already had so that I could perform my job task to the best and beyond my abilities. When I first started there the management was great but along the way new managers came in and created a much more stressful atmosphere. I would rate the management there now average to poor due to micro managing and threats of employment. What I enjoyed most.. .
I would say this is an excellent workout for most women’s physical goals because it is high reps/low weight. Men…not so much. If you have a Body Beast need to lift big this will not fulfil that desire. Yes, the average dude will get a good burn but not the gamma-irradiated results they are longing for. So ladies, this one’s all yours!

Yes, you have to plan but that's the point. We all make bad decisions when we didn't plan ahead. I'm out of the house 12 hours a day during the week and have two small children. It's doable if you plan.
This isn’t necessarily a con, but I will note that you really need to have some kind of a base of fitness before starting this program. It’s not one you can go from couch potato to just hopping into from nothing in my opinion. It would be safer to do another Beachbody program, like the 21 Day Fix or something, before jumping in with 80 Day Obsession.

5 Things I’ve Learned… Back—Back Extension By the way, I don’t have a whole lot of time to spend on anything. I am a wife, mom, and busy professional who works outside the home. It’s very manageable to plan/portion meals with the containers and the workouts are only half an hour. Limited equipment needed and there is a person doing modified versions of moves throughout. None of the workouts put you in a position of needing a spotter or help from an outsider to safeguard you against injury. ;-)
Question for you, Bethany. Am I able to use my isolate protein as a replacement shake for breakfast instead of shakeology? I know that those are what the plan calls for as a replacement meal, but if I am being totally honest, it is VERY expensive! Thanks!

Follow Theresa C. Today was an exact repeat of yesterday. I had to force myself to eat. I just wanted saltines and ginger ale because of how nauseous my headache made me. I did everything I was supposed to do for the program; however, I was rendered pretty much useless because of this headache. Not sure how much longer I'll hang in there before I plug the coffee machine back in.
